Apple is no longer developing and selling iPhoto. You can only update to iPhoto 9.6.1, if iPhoto is in your Purchases history at the AppStore. I found you can still run iPhoto by opening the package contents with Control-click on the App, then click on Show Package Contents, Contents, MacOS, iPhoto. But I don't know how stable this is. It seems to run just fine. But I'd like the 9.6.1 update just to be sure it's not going to trash my photos.

Once you have downloaded and installed the iPhoto update using the new user (make sure this user has admin privileges!) then log out of the new account and into your normal account. Your pictures should be where you left them. You might need to log into iCloud again. To do this, go to iPhoto preferences, click on iCloud, and make sure the first three things are checked. You will also need to enter your iTunes (iCloud) login.

I followed these instructions in the link here, and it took hardly any time to replace my iPhoto app with a working one that imported my library and now I have access to all my photos, albums, and catalogued events exactly the way they were prior to my blind Yosemite download.

Le lien vers iPhoto 9.6.1 n'existe plus car depuis quelques versions de macOS l'application est intégré directement au système. En temps normal, iPhoto 9.6.1 est la version qui est intégrée dans OS X Yosemite donc ce que tu peux essayer de faire c'est de sauvegarder les données de ton Mac puis de le mettre à niveau vers Yosemite pour avoir la version d'iPhoto que tu souhaites. Une fois que ça sera fait, tu pourras alors passer sur Mojave.

Je suis bien conscient que Iphoto est remplacé par Photos mais j'ai bien constaté, lors de ma tentative précedente de passer vers Mojave, que mon Iphoto arrivait tout en vrac dans Photos. J'ai beaucoup travaillé pour le classement de mes photos dans Iphoto et c'est cela que je voudrais pouvoir conserver. J'ai lu qu'il est possible de garder Iphoto avec son classement dans Photos mais ceci uniquement avec la version 9.6.1 d'Iphoto.

J'ai contacté l'assistance Apple aujourd'hui et malheureusement mon interlocutrice m'a dit ne pas avoir à disposition ce logiciel IPhoto 9.6.1 et m'a donné un lien pour faire une réclamation chez Apple. J'ai fait cette réclamation.

There is no way to legally download the latest version of iPhoto for free, as it only came 'free' with brand new Macs for a few years (and has now been replaced on the newest Macs with an app just called "Photos"). With the new Macs that qualified for the free downloads, the first time you signed in to the App Store you would be prompted to "Accept" iPhoto, iMovie and Garageband which would then bind these apps to your Apple ID as purchases (although they were free). At this point you could then technically download them on all machines that you owned for free, provided they met system requirements and you remembered your Apple ID and password (no activation key required).
