OK, sometimes the latest issue might work. You can try that. Does your printer have the Air Print feature. If so, use that and no print drivers are needed. If all else fails, then visit the link below where volunteers write print drivers for older printers which are no longer supported by their manufacturers. You may find one there that works. Good luck
Also, if a printer is set up twice with different drivers it doesn't work with any of them. So you should only have one printer in Settings > Printers (per each device). You can have both driver packs installed on your system, though.
One user reported that the driver downloaded from the Samsung web site makes this printer working perfectly out of the box on Fedora Core 5. Another user reported that once the (Samsung) driver is installed with a lot of pain, it fails to communicate properly with CUPS. It is just a frustrating experience. He returned the printer to the store, after the Samsung technical support told on the phone that they do not support Linux anyway. The user H.Samm reported that his printer worked out of the box... so far his experience has been a very good one. Consumables/Refills: cartridge CA$ 90

For anyone trying to get ML2165W to work with Big Sur: the official SpliX tarball did not work for me. However, there is a patched fork on GitHub: Installation requires manual compilation:1. Install homebrew -- instructions are on brew.sh2. In terminal, install command line tools: xcode-select --install3. In terminal, install jbigkit: brew install jbigkit4. Unpack the archive downloaded from the master branch5. Build and install the SpliX tool -- in terminal run make && sudo make install6. The make install will fail when trying to copy Samsung drivers. Ignore this failure.7. Select the drivers you want to install. They are in the root directory and in the ppd/ subdirectory. For ML2165W, it was ml2165.ppd in the root directory.8. In terminal, install the driver manually:sudo chown root:admin [driver].ppd && sudo gzip [driver].ppd && sudo mv [driver].ppd.gz /Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources/
The driver installer file automatically installs the driver for your printer. This is a driver-only software solution intended for users who want a print driver for Samsung ML-2010 Series Print Driver.

Surely I don't have to scrap my beloved Dell 1235cn laser just because we added a Mac to our household? Surely there is a driver which will work so I can keep the printer? "No Mac OSX drivers" for devices is so "yesterday".
I do not have much expertise on Mac OS. However, on further research, I was able to find the following driver. You may try to download and install it on your computer. I have attached the file for your reference.
I have a macbook air and a DELL printer. I'm not able to get my DELL to print. I saw this thread and downloaded the link you provided. I have a DELL 1140 laser printer. The download does not allow me to print with my printer. Is there another download for the 1140?
Unfortunately, I was not able to find Dell 1140 laser printer so that I can try to find a driver. I did some research and found that Lexmark has X1140 printer. Are you referring to Lexmark X1140 printer?
Thank you for the response. The printer is a Dell 1110 Laser Mono Printer. Mac OS drivers are not available for this printer. I did some research on the internet and I was able to find that many user were able to install the driver for Samsung ML-2010 printer with their Dell 1110 printer. Alternatively, you may also try plugging in the printer to the Mac with a USB cable. Turn it ON and run the Software Updater from the Apple menu. Mac OS will detect the printer and check for drivers online if there are any.

Samsung-GDI is an open-source printer driver for Ghostscript supporting 26 Samsung-GDI printers. On Mac OS X Jaguar and later, printing with Samsung-GDI requires Foomatic-RIP (a CUPS filter script) and Ghostscript (an open-source PostScript interpreter), and a foomatic PPD for each supported printer.Installation Notes
I have a Samsung ML-2010 and could not get double sided (duplex) printing when I first installed it to Windows 10, as it installed a Universal Driver 3 rather than a specific one. However I cured the problem as follows:* Control Panel: Devices and Printers. This is an old-fashioned page, not the dumbed-down one Windows 10 may try to show you. If you can't find it , press the Windows key + R shortcut to bring up the Run dialogType control printers and press Enter.* Right click on your printer and go to Printer properties (not Printing properties).* Click on Advanced tab, next to Driver select Samsung ML-2010 series and click "New Driver"* This will take you to an "Add Printer Driver Wizard" which will let you download and install a driver from "Windows Update".* Restart your computer (I could see and select the double-sided options, but didn't get to use them correctly until I restarted the computer).
After I did all this steps with my Samsung SCX-3200 printer, the manual duplex printing vanished. I cannot see anywhere. If I use Universal Driver 3 I can see the manual duplex printing, but if I select that option, the printer not print anything. I cannot install the driver from the cd, because I don't have any working cd reader. (Only in my Windows XP laptop, but I know it has a lot of virus.)
When I also moved from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I couldn't make it work properly, so I needed to update the drivers. I faced some problems with the updates and I just uninstalled and deleted everything. It is very easy to find the drivers again because Samsung has everything on their own website, so you just need to type the model and then you can find everything you need for it. Besides that, I bought a nice cardstock printer after I saw a cool review on -sublimation-printer-reviews/ and I also downloaded drivers on their website. 2b1af7f3a8
